Affecter / Affect

法语“affecter”和英语的“affect”都可以译为“（负面）影响”，有时可以互译。

Exemple:
1.Nous avons été très affectés par la triste nouvelle.
We were deeply affected by the sad news.
坏消息对我们影响很大。

2.Ce medicament peut affecter le foie.
This drug may affect the liver.
这种药可能影响肝脏。

3.La paralysie a affecté tout son côté droit.
The paralysie has affected the whole of his right side.
瘫痪影响了他的整个右半身。（他右半侧整个瘫痪了。）

4.Cette dispute a affecté leur relation.
This quarrel has affected their relationship.
这场争执影响了他们的关系。

法语“affecter”和英语的“affect”也都有“假装”（pretend）的意思。

Exemple:
1.Il affectait une grand joie, mais en fait, it était profondément malheureux.
He affected great joy but in fact he was deeply unhappy.
他强颜欢笑，但实际上他内心非常痛苦。

2.Pierresometimes affects a southern accent.
Pierre affecte parfois d'avoir un accent du Sud.
皮埃尔有时候装南方口音。

法语“affecter”还有对人员或物资，资金等“分配，调拨”的意思，常译为英语的“allocate, assign”等。

Exemple：
1.Comme convenu, nous affecterons les fonds récoltés à la restauration de l’église.
As agreed, we will allocate / assign the sum collected to the restoration of the church.
大家商定，募集到的资金将用于教堂的修复。

2.Les nouveaux locaux seront affectés au service après-vente.
The new premises will be allocated / assigned to the after-sales service department.
新办公楼将分配给售后服务部门。

3.Il a demandé à être affecté au service des soins intensifs.
He asked to be appointed to the intensive care unit.
他要求到ICU（重症监护室）工作。

4.Ce soldat a récemment été affecté à Lille.
This soldier has recently been posted / assigned to Lille.
最近，这个士兵被派驻到了里尔。

法语的“affecter”一般是负面的影响，而英文的“affect”既可以是负面的（toucher négativement），也可以是中性的 (concerner) 。

Exemple：
1.The government's plan will affect a lot of people.
Le plan gouvernemental va concerner un grand nombre de gens.
政府的计划将会影响（涉及）很多人。

2.The rise in interest rates doesn’t affect me at all.
L’augmentation des taux d’intérêt ne me touche en rien.
利率上涨对我来说毫无影响。

很多时候，英语的“affect”都不译为法语的“affecter”。

Exemple：
1.Smoking affects the health.
Le tabac nuit à la santé.
吸烟有害健康。

2.This year’s crops have been badly affected by frost.
Les récoltes de cette année ont fort souffert du gel.
今年的庄稼遭遇霜冻，受损严重。

除此之外，英语的“affect”还有“感动”（émouvoir）的意思。

Exemple:
1.The film about a cancer survivor affected me deeply.
Le film sur le cancer m'a profondément ému.
关于癌症病人的电影使我深受感动。

注意：英语的“disaffected” 和法语的“désaffecté”的区别。英语的“disaffected”意为“不满的，怨恨的”(estranged, hostile)，特别是“下对上”的，“愤青”的，例如：

Unemployed and disaffected youth can find populist rhetoric particularly appealing.
Des jeunes sans emploi et désabusés peuvent se laisser séduire par les discours populistes.
失业的年轻人对现实不满，很容易被民粹主义言论所蛊惑。

而法语的“désaffecté”意思是“停止使用，废弃”(disused，decommissioned)的意思，例如：

Le train ne s'arrête plus, la gare est désaffectée.
Trains no longer stop here, and the station is decommissioned / fell into disuse.
火车不再停靠这里，车站被废弃了。

注意：法语的“affectation”在很多情况下还可以是“分配，调拨”的意思，例如：

L'employé sera avisé de tout changement d'affectation.
An employee will be advised of an assignment change.
 雇员的工作岗位有任何变动都将得到通知。

而英语的 “affectation” 只有“扭捏做态，装模作样”一个意思，例如：

His French accent is just an affectation.
Son accent français n’est qu’une affectation.
他那个法国口音都是装出来的。
