Vulgaire /Vulgar

Exemple :
1. I’d rather you didn’t have anything more to do with that boy. I think he’s extremely vulgar.
2. You have to be completely ignorant to say such vulgar things in front of an audience like that.

He used his hand to make a rude gesture to the crowd.
Exemple :
It’s only ordinary/common or garden (Brit) plastic but it costs nearly as much as leather.
Alan won’t be coming with us. He’s just got an ordinary cold but he’s in a bad way.

3. Est-ce un héros ou un vulgaire assassin ?

Idealist as he was, he didn’t pay much attention to mundane/everyday/commonplace realities.
They dislike the idea of seeing human beings as mere instruments.

Instead of being dumped amidst common garbage, dog mess could soon light public highways.
Exemple :
1. Cette émission de télévision vulgarise les sciences.
This TV programme helps to popularize scientific knowledge.
2. Vulgariser l'information.

 “Langage vulgaire”
Exemple :
1. Cette personne emploie un langage vulgaire.
That person is using a vulgar /obscene language.
Vulgar, obscene and malicious language is forbidden.
Exemple :
The common language of the Roman Empire was Latin, but in the East, Greek was the vulgar tongue.
