Journal

在法国，“已发生”的事不能记到“agenda”里，而要记到另一个本子里——“journal”，（diary，日记本）。
“Journal”一看就知道是从“jour”(day) 来的，就是“每天”（daily）的意思啦。一开始，“journal”指教会，王室的流水帐（registre où l'on relate les faits du jour），也就是 “当天发生的事”。现在平民百姓也记日记啦——不仅记流水帐，也有对事件的评论，感想（things done and thoughts thought）。“Journal”(英) 和“journal”(法) 在“日记”这个意义上相通，有时可以互译。
Exemple：
1.Chaque jour, elle écrivait quelques phrases dans son journal.
Every day, she wrote a few lines in her journal /diary.
每天她都在日记中写几句话。
2.Roché note /consigne toutes ses rencontres dans un journal.
Roché kept a record of all his encounters in a diary.
罗奇在日记中记下了他与所有人的会面。

如果要强调是私人日记，可以用“journal intime”（private diary）：
Toute sa vie durant il tient un journal intime.
Throughout his life he kept a journal /diary.
他一生都坚持写日记。
法语的“journal”的另一个意思是“报纸，报社”，一般译为“newspaper”。
Exemple：
1.Mon père lit le journal tous les jours, parfois celui du matin, parfois celui du soir.
My father reads the newspaper every day, sometimes the morning paper, sometimes the evening paper.
我父亲每天都读报，有时读早报，有时读晚报。
2.Le quotidien le plus lu en Allemagne est le journal à sensation "Bild".
The most read daily in Germany is the tabloid Bild.
《图片报》是德国人最喜欢读的八卦小报。
3.Son journal l’a envoyé à Paris.
His newspaper sent him to Paris.
他的报社派他去巴黎出差。
随着技术的进步，法语的“journal”也从“报纸”扩展到了其他媒体：电视（广播）新闻(television /radio news)。
Exemple：
1.Le journal télévisé est d'abord diffusé en arabe, puis en français.
News was broadcast first in Arabic, then in French.
新闻先以阿拉伯语，再以法语播出。
2.Ils ont annoncé la libération des otages au journal (télévisé /parlé) de vingt heures.
They said the hostages had been released on the (television /radio) news at 8 o’clock.
8点的电视（广播）新闻说人质已经被释放了。
另一方面，英语的“journal”则是“专业期刊”的意思（une publication périodique qui s’adresse à des spécialistes），面向专业人士啦，翻译成法语时就不能用“journal”，而要用“revue, périodique”等词。

2.I subscribe to several scientific journals.
Je suis abonné à plusieurs revues /périodiques scientifiques.
我订阅了好几种科学期刊。

如果是面向大众的杂志呢？英语和法语都用“magazine”，比如：报摊上的“时装杂志”等都是“magazine”：Magazine féminin = women’s magazine妇女杂志
但法语中也用“journal”表示“大众杂志”，如：“journal de mode”（fashion magazine）时装杂志，“journal pour enfants”（comic）儿童漫画杂志。
