Timide /timid

英语的“timid”借自法语，而法语的“timide”又借自拉丁语的“timidus”，意为“fearful”（害怕）。法语的“timide”是“害羞，扭捏”，更强调“不擅交际，认生”(uneasy incompany)，常译为英语的“shy”。
