今天的“假朋友”是法语的“pièce”和英语的“piece”。

法语的“pièce”有点象汉语中的量词，意为“片，件，块”，很多时候都可以和英语的“piece”对译。

例如:

À mon mariage, j’ai reçu un service de table de 36 pièces.

I was given a 36-piece dinner service as a wedding present.

人家送我一套36件（头）的（瓷器）餐具作为结婚礼物。

Il manque plusieurs pièces à ce puzzle.

Several pieces of this jigsaw puzzle are missing.

这个拼图游戏里还差了（丢失了）几个碎片儿。

Cette statuette égyptienne est la pièce la plus précieuse de ma collection.

This Egyptian statuette is the most valuable piece in my collection.

这个埃及小雕像是我的收藏品里最值钱的一件。

Mon mari achète toujours des costumes trois-pièces.

My husband always buys three-piece suits.

我丈夫总是买三件套的西服正装。 

但很多时候，法语的“pièce”无法译为英语的“piece”：

Combien coûtent les melons ? ——3 euros pièce.

How much are the melons? ——3 euros each.

甜瓜多少钱？ ——3欧一个。

C’est inventé de toutes pièces.

It’s made up from start to finish /it’s a complete fabrication.

这是彻头彻尾的捏造！

另外，“一张纸”英文里说“a piece of paper”，但在法语里要说“une feuille de papier”，就不用“pièce”啦。 

法语的“pièce”还有“（机器）零件”(spare part)、“文件”(document)、“话剧”(play)、“硬币”(coin)、“房间”(room)、“棋子”（chessman） 等诸多意义。总之，含义很丰富啦，要注意区别哦。

例如: 

La pièce qui est cassée est tellement chère qu’il vaut mieux acheter une nouvelle machine.

The broken part /component is so expensive that you’d better off buying a new machine.

要更换损坏的那个零件太贵了，还不如买个新的机器呢。

 注意：“Une pièce d’identité” 意为“an ID” : 身份证明，如: 身份证，护照，驾驶证，会员证等 (passport, driver’slicence, club membership card, etc.)

例如： 

 
Mais Madame, vous comprenez, une pièce d’identité est obligatoire...

But Madam, you must understand that an ID is required here…. 

对不起，女士，必须出示证件才能……

作“碎片，切片，片断”解的英语“piece”经常译为法语的“morceau”： 

I’ve found two pieces of the lamp you broke the other day. 

J’ai retrouvé deux morceaux de la lampe que tu as cassée l’autre jour. 

你前几天打碎的那个台灯，我找到了它的两个碎片。
 
I would like to play you a piano piece that I have composed for this occasion. 

Je voudrais vous interpréter un morceau pour piano que j’ai composé pour cette occasion. (plus rarement : pièce) 

下面，我将为大家演奏一首钢琴曲，这是我特地为今天的（庆典）而创作的。 

Do you want another piece of cake? 

Veux-tu encore un morceau de gâteau ?

 
再吃一片（块）蛋糕吧？ 

但要注意：“It’s a piece of cake!”意为“C’est du gâteau !”（这是小菜一碟！）

英语的“piece”还有“文章，论文”的意思，一般译为法语的“article，papier”： 

Did you read his piece about disarmament in the Times? 

As-tu lu son article/papier sur le désarmement dans le Monde ? 

 世界报上发表的他那篇关于裁军的文章你读了吗？

此外，英语的“piece”在口语中还可以指人。  


That barmaid’s quite a nice piece ! 

Cette barmaid est un joli petit lot. 

那个酒吧女招待真是个不错的妞儿。(^v^)
 
He’s a nasty piece of work. 

C’est un sale type. 

那厮真是个烂仔。
