Downtown Hyères

Le centre-ville d'Hyères est plutôt calme, un peu moins en été quand les touristes arrivent, mais ils ne touchent pas trop le centre-ville parce qu'ils vont surtout aux plages (dont je vais parler un autre jour). De l'automne au printemps, il y a beaucoup de cours (de langue, de peinture...) et d'activités pour les retraités et les enfants, mais pour les autres âges, le centre-ville d'Hyères est moins intéressant. Oui, il y a quelques petits musées et une médiathèque, mais, malgré des restos, un casino et un cinéma, il n'y a presque aucune vie nocturne.

耶尔市的市中心相当安静。在夏天游客到来时会稍稍有些吵闹，但他们对市中心的影响却不大，因为大部分人都去海滩了（关于这个话题我以后会再说到）。从秋天到春天，市中心有许多为退休人员和孩子开设的课程（语言、画画等等）和活动。但对其它年龄层的人来说，耶尔的市中心就没那么有趣了。虽然那里确实有一些小博物馆和一家图书馆，但除了餐馆、一座赌场和一家电影院外，就几乎没有夜生活了。

Hyères's downtown is fairly calm, a little less in summer when the tourists arrive, but they don't have much of an effect on downtown because they mainly go to the beaches (which I'll talk about another time). From fall to spring, there are lots of classes (language, painting...) and activities for retirees and children, but for other ages, Hyères's downtown is less interesting. Yes, there are some small museums and a multi-media library, but, despite restaurants, a casino, and a movie theater, there is virtually no nightlife.

Mon mari et moi habitons le centre-ville depuis notre arrivée à Hyères il y a 15 mois. Cela nous convient parce que nous n'avons pas de voiture, mais nous pouvons faire tous nos achats très facilement. Le grand marché ouvert a lieu le samedi, mais Hyères a aussi un très bon marché paysan le mardi et le samedi, un petit marché bio trois fois par semaine et le foire du troisième jeudi du mois, qui fait penser à un souk marocain. Il y a aussi deux épiceries biologiques, un supermarché et toutes sortes de magasins pour nos autres besoins. Et nous habitons à deux pas de la meilleure boulangerie d'Hyères. (Je dis ça pour ma copine hyéroise, qui lit ces articles. ;-)

来到耶尔市15个月来，我和丈夫住一直住在市中心。住在这里很便利，虽然我们没有车，但也能方便地购买到所有的东西。每周六会有大型的户外市场，同时耶尔市每周二和周六还有非常棒的农贸市场，每周三次的小型有机食物市场，每月第三个周四会有一次集市（很容易让人想到摩洛哥露天集市）。这里还有两家绿色杂货店，一家超市，以及满足其它需求的各种商店。我们住的地方离里尔最好的面包店只有几步路。（这是写给我耶尔市的朋友的，他会看这些文章。;-)）

My husband and I have lived downtown since our arrival in Hyères 15 months ago. It's convenient for us because we don't have a car, but we can easily do all of our shopping. The big outdoor market takes place on Saturday, but Hyères also has a very good farmer's market on Tuesday and Saturday, a small organic market three days a week, and the "third Thursday of the month" fair, which is reminiscent of a Moroccan souk. There are also two organic grocery stores, a supermarket, and all sorts of stores for our other needs. And we live right around the corner from the best bakery in Hyères. (That's for my Hyéroise friend, who reads these articles. ;-)

Avec un aéroport, une gare (de train), une gare routière et un port, Hyères est bien desservi par les transports publics. Le bruit court que la ville considère la possibilité de fermer le centre-ville aux voitures - personnellement, j'en serais ravie.

耶尔的公共交通设施齐全，有飞机场、火车站、公交车站和港口。有传言说耶尔正在考虑禁止轿车在市中心通行，我个人认为这样非常好。

With an airport, train station, bus station, and port, Hyères is well served by public transportation. There's a rumor that the city is considering closing downtown to cars - personally, I'd be thrilled.
