法语中有两个动词可以对应英语中的“to live”，即：habiter和vivre。其实它们之间还是有比较明显的区别，今天就来学习一下。

Habiter

等同于英语中的to live in, to reside in, to inhabit，常用来表达某人住在哪里。它是-er结尾的常规动词，后面可加可不加介词。例句：

J'habite Paris, J'habite à Paris.
I live in Paris.
我住在巴黎。

Nous avons habité une maison, dans une maison.
We lived in a house.
我们之前住在一个房子里。

Il n'a jamais habité la banlieue, en banlieue.
He has never lived in the suburbs.
他从没有住过郊区。

Cette maison n'est pas habitée.
This house is unoccupied.
这个房子没人住。

Habiter也可以表示象征意义，例句：

Une passion incroyable l'habite.
An incredible passion lives in (inhabits) him.
他身上有种令人难以置信的热情。

Elle est habitée par la jalousie.
She's gripped (inhabited) by jealousy.
她满怀着嫉妒。

Vivre

不规则动词，表示to live, to be alive, to exist，常表示某人以怎样的方式生存。

Elle vit dans le luxe.
She lives in luxury.
她生活豪奢。

Voltaire a vécu au 18e siècle.
Voltaire lived in the 18th century.
伏尔泰是18世纪的人物。

Il vit toujours avec sa mère.
He still lives with his mother.
他一直和母亲生活。

Nous vivons des jours heureux !
We're living in happy days!
我们生活得很开心！

Vivre也可以表达住在哪里，例句：

Je vis à Paris.
I live in Paris.
我住在巴黎。
